Everytime I look at an AC, I like how it looks. Everytime I put my bags in from the mall and grocery store in the back seat, I like my DC.

Only got TRDOR really, for the sticker thingy on the bedside that said "Off Road". That and my carabiner keychain makes me look "woodsy".

really though, having a DC because my wife wanted a double cab for our long road trips, I would go AC next time. looks better and longer bed.

I like my DC but wish it was a regular cab. The long bed and shorter wheelbase would be useful. I don't give free rides unless I like you.. So nobody gets free rides.
I like the access cab, but would take out the rear seats anyways to make it into something cool.

The real question is what generation are you wanting to get?

I originally was going to buy an access cab. Ended up with a double cab. Would not have it any other way now.

This double cab is the first 4 door vehicle l have ever owned, unless you want to call the clamshell doors on my previous Access Cabs a 4 door. I would have stuck with AC but could not get it with a Manual trans, still haven't had a passenger in the DC yet.

For some reason the AC has always looked the coolest to me. I needed another backseat with a new son and another one on the way, so DCSB it was!

I struggled with this decision hard for a while, and ultimately came out to getting an access cab.

I previously had a 4 door F150, where if you know, those back seats are MONSTROUS. Seriously, every time I looked back I was shocked at how much leg room those provided it was absurd.

Though being able to carry 7 people comfortably in the F150 was great for the few times I had to, I rarely ever carried more than 4. I wanted a 6ft bed, the 5ft bed in the F150 was okay, but sleeping in it was terrible as that I'm longer than the bed.

Ultimately when comparing the Taco's AC and 4dr, the 4drs rear legroom is absolute shit and not much better than the AC and I couldn't get over the 5ft bed being as big as the back of a large SUV. I'm getting a goddamn pickup truck, I should be able to fit in snowboards/bikes without having to feng shui them in or have them hanging out over the side. 90% of the time it's only me in my truck, the other 99% is one other person, and that 1% is when I need to carry more than 2 people where the access cab works great.

Are there times I wished I had a larger backseat? Yes.
Am I glad I saved $2k and got the 6ft bed? Hell yes.

I went AC for cost savings (price of truck and mpg), better offroad, and the 6ft bed. But that's just me...

I only can say if you plan to use it for more than you and one more person (200lb Mastiff, Kids, whores as mentioned) the DC is the way to go. I am all about the AC for Tacoma. Decided the T4R was what I needed to build up for family adventures though.

I had a '99 AC and '10 AC (Best Tacoma is AC.)

Is there a AC vs DC t-shirt/sticker design for Tacoma?

I like the looks & 6' bed of the access cab, and I can reach back to the sliding window when needed. And since I don't like many people, I don't need any extra seats!! :)

As if it hasn't already been said already ... it's a truck. Trucks haul things, not people. Also, shorter trucks offroad better. Ergo, access cab if you don't have to compromise.

I've also found that the "you can ride with me, but you're going to have to fit back there" line of dissuasion works way better when "back there" involves jump seats.
