AC all the way. I couldn't live without the ability to recline at times. I'm too tall for a regular cab i think..
Edit: 2 year old pic, looks very different now.

This is like the AT vs. MT threads where the MT guys have a love fest and the AT folks are like :bored:

You can always use a quadcab like a access cab but you can t use a.accesscab like a quadcab with teens or adults. Extra Room Never Hurts. 20170527_115121.jpg

I hated the suicide doors on my old access cab. The seatbelt would strangle you if someone opened the access cab door before you could get it off, and then they would try to shut the main door before the small door. Trouble all around. I like my double cab much better and I don't haul people anymore than I ever have.

Moved my daughters bed, mattress, box springs, desk and dresser to college in my access cab. All tied in. Toolbox still in truck. Tailgate down. Not possible with my previous double cab short bed without a toolbox.

Try driving your truck to dinner with another couple of friends and see what they say. Like I said for small kids, dogs or tools that it. I think he was talkin about the cabs not the beds

When it's your only vehicle then the extra space matters, but the OP doesn't need more than the access cab since he has multiple vehicles like you.

Did this just last night with my access cab. As long as nobody is a giant fitting 4 adults into access cab is completely reasonable, albeit not for long drives.

I've had more people in the backseat of my truck in the ~9 months I've owned it than all the previous vehicles I've owned. All 4 door saloons over 12 years of driving. No complaints, most are surprised at the comfort given the small dimensions.

Before I bought an AC I sat my ass in the backseat with the drivers seat where I would have it for a solid 20 minutes. I'm 5'11", I wouldn't want to do it every day or for much longer than that but it's not awful by any means. It's miles ahead of the jump seat in a xtra cab ford ranger I can tell you that.
