I personally didn't want a double cab, I actually wanted the access cab . I hardly ever carry anyone around and I wanted the full size bed . Just my opinion

I had a Tacoma access cab, now a Frontier king cab. Myself + 2 adult passengers is totally fine, just slide the front passenger seat foward a bit. That said I'm thinking about replacing my truck with a 6spd Xterra Pro-4x. Would be nice to have full seating for 3 passengers, dry space and a shorter wheel base.

I had a first gen "xtra cab" and I found that more often than not I had to move some of the contents of my bed into the cab when I stopped (tools, snow gear, instruments etc.) This time around I was willing to sacrifice a 6 foot bed for a double cab because it has more lockable space. (DCLB not an option, doesn't fit in my garage)

The opposite of that is that if you are driving people in an access cab (or anything for that matter) their response to you should "thank you" (for driving and so that I don't have to)

DCLB you might as well get a full size truck at that point , that's a big freaking truck . I guess it depends on the size you want . I think it's a whole different truck at that point

And chocolate bars are candy bars.

I figure mericans call the box a bed because of all of the homeless actors and actresses living in their vehicles. No one sleeps in their box in Canada because of all the snow in there in August.

Chocolate bars are a specific kind of candy bar. All chocolate bars are candy bars, but not all candy bars are chocolate bars.

?... I say Coca Cola, root beer, etc.
A soda pop can be any flavor.

Go to McDonalds and ask for a large soda pop, they probably look at you like an idiot.

Most of the fast food joints in my neck of the woods have self serve soda fountains, so I usually order a large soda and then go fill up my cup with my soda of choice.

The Access Cab and Double Cab share the same frame and have the same turning radius and length. Imo the DCSB is much more versatile than the AC . So @GoLowDrew my question would be is an extra foot in the bed more important than the versatility of the DC?
I rarely use the back seats for people but it's a nice have and like the extra dry cargo space.

    Best of luck to you!

Sry, the quote wasn't directed at you, just carrying on convo of who says Soda Pop. I meant to say try to order a Large soda pop at a drive -thru as a joke. I don't think many "Merican" say Soda Pop. I say large drink at the counter but you got me on the soda fountain lol.

there's a dude I work with from Chicago that keeps saying pop when referring to soda. it's a regional thing. I spent 7 years in the Great White North and call cigarettes "darts".

but now I live in SoCal and call tire shine "T-shine" and use terms like "Cali roll", "spicy tune", and "yellow-t" when ordering sushi.

I agree with you. I had 2 AC and I am much happier with my DCSB. The backseat is not always for people.

Your opinion is wrong. AC is more versatile due having same short wheel base and 4 passenger capacity but still more bed and payload than the DCSB.
    AC > SCSB
