That's not what a fuking truck is for my friend. There more space in the bed, or you know...

I say access cab cause I have one.. Short bed is useless to me. They look ok but with all the camping, hunting and hauling I need the bigger bed.

I have the DC 6ft bed and glad I got it. I hardly ever have people in the back seat but its nice for the added secure storage. I have had times when the full bed of the truck was filled with stuff for a range trip and had the back seat loaded and I wouldn't have been able to fit everything in an AC.

If you dont have limited parking space (length wise) get the DCLB. If you are worried about parking space, get the ACLB.

Access cabs just look so much better.

I'm in a DCSB but I only need one seat; no friends nor significant other nor large dog. I just like having climate-controlled interior storage. It was between this or the 4Runner. I'll be taking the back row out once I'm living out of it full-time.

Holy Monkey - I agree with Smitty!! My first new car was a 2dr, which was great at 22. Since the family grew, I need a 4dr vehicle. AC looks great, but for me not functional at all, so it was a very easy decision.

I agree the short bed on the 1st and 2nd gens looks stubby.

But look at the 3rd gen short bed, it looks longer, not as stubby with the tailgate spoiler. Also I read somewhere 3rd gen short bed is 1 inch taller, 1/4 inch longer.

I rarely need to drop the tailgate for stuff.

I was in the same dilemma. Considered the access cab but it does not have a full seat. They are fold up and not as comfortable as the ones in the double cab. Decided on the double cab. Real happy.

I've owned both. I like the access cab cause then you don't get stuck driving a bunch of people around cause they don't want to ride in the back and you get more bed room. I now have a kid and that was the only reason I got the double cab. I like them both, and they are both perfect for different times in my life. Sorry this probably isn't helpful at all.

    Can ya spell Tonneau
You have a sports car (2+2?, rear seat comfy like a 911?)
    You have a minivan (great!)
    You want a truck.

Well, what you want is a long bed then right? Why are we even talking about seats?
Now if you didn't have those vehicles then the double cab long bed is your work horse do most anything vehicle.
