I have my truck, and I have an 08 Honda Fit. 12 years old, and still gets 35mpg in the city. And I only spent $2200 on it. If it lasts a year, Ill be happy. 250 miles to a tank just going to work is great, more on the highway..

Awesome, I’ve seen your truck on here before it’s done up nice. Those Honda fits are darn good cars.

I’ve got my 89 911 for my pleasure car but I may sell it because I’ve spent about 10k the last year getting all the old crap replaced, clutch, maintenance, etc. Don’t want to sell it because it’s fun but I think a classic Ford Bronco or International Scout would be fun for the whole family. The 67 Camaro is in the shop getting the interior done so I’m getting antsy!

I may get to keep them both. Tax prep guy found what he thought were errors on some 1099s. I wasn't holding out hope, but turns out he was right. Just don't know how large a tax reduction it will mean.

Had a 78 Datsun 6 sp manual the same style and orange color. I loved that little truck.

How big the hail, and which one has been nicest to me? I keed, I keed. If it came to it, the new one. Thought living in the Midwest and owning vehicles for the last 33 years, I've only had hail damage once. To my original 92 Toyota. Pocketed the insurance money and kept the dents.

Update. Still have both of them. The new one sits most of the time. I absolutely love driving the old one. Maybe it's nostalgia. Who knows? While the new Tacoma wins hands down in comfort, convenience, and safety, my first choice for short distances about town is the 94. I've also done some small time tinkering for the first time in my life. Nothing complicated. Lots of mistakes and lessons learned, but that part has been enjoyable as well. May end up eventually selling once I address the major cosmetic issues, but I'm going to enjoy the ride while it lasts.

I don't recall seeing you mention it... How much did you pay for the 94 DLX?

$9600. About $1500 more than I planned to spend but about $1000 less than I expected it to go for. $9600. The seller also expected it to go in the $10,500 range. Given the rust free body (except the cab roof) and the solid frame, it was a reasonable price for someone who loves Toyota trucks of that era. Those who don't would think that price was crazy. No regrets on my end.
