I like the short truck, it’s able to make really tight turns.

I have both and the short Tacoma turns better than the runner. I believe you were kidding, but I honestly like both of them with my dcsb being superior when it gets to the nut cutting.

Short to Long to Short. Always wished I had a short bed again with my previous long bed on tight trails. Now I wish I had a bigger bed :)

I’ve been down the beach here with my friends in big trucks and I’m the one walking through the hard parts and pulling them out. It’s really all about what you want to use your truck for.

Too low? Wasn't aware the long bed sits lower. Too skinny? Wasn't aware the long bed was narrower. It is a foot longer though. 1 for 3 ain't bad, I guess.

I understand what he’s saying. It’s not that it’s lower it just appears that way with the extra foot and being a bit longer might give the appearance of being narrow. It’s all illusion

Get a short bed. You'll look so much better riding down the road and you don't need an extra foot. They make trailers for those 4 times a year.

I’ve had my short bed for 5 years and it’s done everything I’ve needed. If I would have thought I needed more I would have bought a full size truck for the same money I paid for my Tacoma

Sounds like you’ve answered your own question, I’m a longbed owner. I’m happy with mine, this is my 2nd longbed. If your not going to hauling things often or sleeping in the back, I feel like the short wheelbase is worth your while if your in the city a lot. I have no trouble parking mine in town but it’s a very small town, bigger cities would be different I am sure.
I test drove the MT Sport quite a bit before I bought my DCLB Sport, previously came from an 07 DCLB. The harsh ride with the shorter wheelbase was the first thing I noticed, that was also the sport suspension, the OR is not as bad I am sure.

parking in the garage is more important to me than 1 foot of bed space. Unless you plan to sleep in the bed of your truck I don’t think the extra 1 foot will matter much.

I've had both, the ride IS better in the long bed, tracks better also then towing.

When I had a short bed I always wished I had a little more room. Since having a longbed I've never thought I had too much.

For me ACLB looks better than DCSB, looks more proportional as a truck.

Sounds like you don’t need a truck at all if you only use the bed 4 times a year. There is a new Subaru Outback you might be better off in.
