Talk me out of an Access Cab

Go for it.
They are becoming rare in many areas.

 

@023 Access cab will be worth more money when the 2024s come out with no back 1/2 doors.

Yeah… that’s the bad part.
One in the front seat and 4 laying on top of each other in the back..unless you can get them in the bed..

I had a dog in the passenger seat once during a hiway accident I got stuck in the middle of two other drivers road rage and rear ended car in front of me. I had a Ranger. Air bags did not go. Dog was ok but leave them in a back seat on any long or hiway drives. If Air bag went off that dog was mashed.

 

I love my AC...I wanted the Back to the Future black Toyota since that came out when I was 11....so, it was a no brainer. But it's normally just me in there - but I can see you and a dog... plenty of room if you organize it right... and love saying, "sorry, yous alls can't ride with me, I don't have a back seat...." keeps people out of my truck....

You wear the access cab like a favorite denim jacket, room for you, your good looking girl and a weeks worth of groceries.

Back seat passengers are way overrated.

 

You can barely fit adults in a DC, for a short run, so that’s a nonissue.

 

Double cab dog can have its own window to stick head out of .

Yea, butt getting those groceries in an access cab are a PITA. I've owned two AC Tacoma's and I much prefer having the rear doors on a double cab for groceries...

 

All my other trucks were full size regular cabs + a regular cab Ranger, this space behind the seats thing is quite a luxury.

And I have a six foot bed too --

 

I used to own a VW hatchback, so yea, I was a little spoiled

 

nope - AC is awesome but keep that stick shifter. If you can find a Sport AC 6MT then sure, do it

Get the double cab long bed.

 

I hated loading my dog.

Open drivers door, open back door, close drivers door so dog wouldn't accidentally jump in front. Insert doggo. Open drivers door, close passenger. Get in.

It's small but gets annoying especially when I park in my tight garages that I've had over the years.

 

I’ve had single, extended and double cabs. Get the double cab, you can sleep in the front seat with it reclined
You’ll just have more space all around.
