Tried it. It takes for-fucking-ever to get it out. I think it needs polished, but I don't know what to get because there are 1,346,765 different options. :annoyed:

Is your like the little specs of rust looking spots? I have that as well.

I agree, it’s about that time of year for my annual clay bar. Having time to do that, well that’s another story.

Ill look at the polish I used the other day and give you the name of it. Worked wonders getting the pinstripes out of my paint last weekend.

Yes. Little specs of rust. I have a claybar kit, but I can't tell if it even does anything.

Tell me what kind of polisher you use, as well.
It's Mother's brand, and yes it has a spray lube. I'm pretty sure it doesn't say whether it's synthetic or not.

I think I used a meguiars kit last year, the real clay. It worked wonders. I did the plastic baggie test and rubbed the paint, felt mad rough and bumpy, mostly in the front and rear of truck. Clay bar knocked that right out but the rust dots are new. I’m going to have to tackle them soon.

The type of polisher was just a microfiber cloth, and good ole fashion elbow grease.

Ah. So you just used the polishing compound to take out the pinstripes?

See, my paint doesn't feel rough with the baggie test. It just has rust spots.

I used rubbing compound directly over the stripes. And blended with the polish. Polished the whole truck, and then waxed the whole thing.

I was planning on buying that synthetic clay bar and luber from chemical guys. It’s said to work great and you can blow through the job quick. Anyone with experience with it?

Interesting. Well mine isn’t really rough now, that was last year during my first clay bar. But now I do have the spots. Wonder if it’s from the crazy salting or pollution in NJ?

:annoyed: Polishing compound is different than rubbing compound? Because I have a pinstripe that I need to get rid of, but I need something to fix the rust spots if it's not covered under warranty. I hate the options.

Maybe it's the environment, but I don't know how to tell.
