Nice! Sounds similar to what I do except not diesels. And I also do not have near the skill level you no doubt have.

I just got the promotion so. Neither do I. You gotta grow into it. I got hooked up from an old marine buddy, he told me to head east and he’d make sure i had work. Faked it until I made it, he got me in as a mechanic. Been here since, studying and applying. Went from mechanic, B, A, and now this.

Maybe I was the weird guy on the Snap On truck, but I only bought what I knew would make me money. I didn't buy the 25 piece screwdriver and pick set for $700. As an example I bought the one hose removal tool I needed and got off the truck.

I currently have a 36 inch Snap On roll 7 drawer cart with the sliding top. I bought it for $300 because one of the drawers was smashed. About an hour worth of work and one trim section and a new lock and slide, a dab of touch up paint and know one would really know. The total parts spend from Snap On was about $60 to fix it up.

I do everything out of my roll cart. I wish I invested in a bigger roll cart than a toolbox. The toolbox just holds my big shit, like port a power etc. and sadly I can’t just leave the big stuff laying around. But I wish for a life of just rolling around a cart.

And no. You’re not the only one brother. I believe you should buy certain things from certain manufacturers. Like, I wouldn’t buy a snap on multimeter. That goes to fluke. Cordless, IMO, Milwaukee has the crown. Pneumatics should go to IR. Screwdrivers, witte. Picks are disposable.

Right? It took some convincing but I’m a believer now.

I used a brushless angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and it blew my freakin mind.

Dude. The amount of over-engineering Milwaukee puts into their batteries and their brushless motors is outstanding. I wish I had gone with Milwaukee instead of Dewalt for my tools here at home.

We used to have a communal cordless Mikwaukee impact at the autox events for lugnuts and other repairs.
Many years under it's belt using the original battery packs, many times being accidentally run over in the pits, left outside during heavy rainfall, etc.

Totally different styles IMO. Stun Gun's work has more of a hazy, opium den derived feel. Shitposting while at the same time trying to concoct a way to outsmart nurse Ratched and throw a water cooler through the plate glass.

Really? I feel like Stun gun still has that dystopian suburbs feel that Itchy portrays so well, but while still putting his own spin on it.

Itchy paints pictures of stereotypical characters that we all know, that’s why it’s so comical. I am one of those stereotypical characters by default. The difference between these people and myself is that sometimes they don’t know they are those characters, where I actually know I am a living breathing stereotype, and I embrace what I am, and MY writings come from WITHIN that world OUTWARDS. As a cartoon person.

I am the guy trying to bang that Applebee’s waitress.

He is narrating the story, I am one of the people so to speak, and both writings come from a single universe.

In an adjoining universe I can totally picture you and Chuck Palahniuk (who also worked in heavy diesel prior to Fight Club fame) sharing writing ideas.
