The whole interior looks old and bad and the shifter is arguably the worst part. It was the first thing I noticed when I looked into the Colorados; I couldn't believe someone would put that in a modern truck.

Yeah, I just equate Chevy and GMC with crap in my brain. I just didn’t want to offend anyone on here :)

Agreed, the Ridgeline is the perfect ride for the OP. Don’t worry as the owners prefer to wear baggy shorts, knee socks and sandals. The users club will be fun for you.

Yeah the ridge line is a lot of things — a truck it is not. But you can’t argue... it does have a nice car interior.

Most Ridgeline owners are retired. A large number of the owners are retired federal government workers. At 50, I was the youngster at club meets. I still have one. It's a nice road car -- like a Buick WAS..

Ridgeline is actually outselling the Canyon so far in 2019

I'm with @Aldo98229 on this. The Taco has a reputation for being a bulletproof rig. However, the trucks that gave it that rep have been out of production for a very long time. The current generation of trucks are all built to a very high standard. I don't know anything about the Chevy (besides the front locker is way over-hyped), and don't care to since I'm a Ford fan myself. The Ranger, however, has a much worse reputation in the states, but overseas, the current gen Ranger is every bit as good as the Taco. I wish the Taco fans would let go of the past and focus on the current generation, forcing Toyota to continue to improve in order to keep up with the competition. I'm not saying the Taco is an inferior product, but it's getting to be outdated, and the resale is 100% based on it's unproven reputation. NOBODY owns a 10 year old 3rd gen, so there's no way to know if it will be worth the money people will be paying for it.

Exactly. I am in the market for a 2020 mid size truck. I have seen what the Tacoma 2020 will be, but nothing official on the 2020 Colorado. If it has sunroof, 10 speed transmission, LED's...it will cut into the market pretty good.

Wife had a 2009 pontiac vibe (GM product at least partially made by toyota, like a matrix). Had the 36k mile warranty on it. Son drove it around in a campground with gravel roads and the traction lite or some such thing came on with 35, 975 miles on it. Got it home with 36,007 miles. GM dealer wouldn't scope it without their 110$ fee. I figured ok they are a holes so Gm will take care of me when I explain what happened. Called em, said nope take it to the dealer and pay the bucks. Looked online figured out I could reset it by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes and then reconnecting. Did that no more lite. Yeah technically it was over the 36 k, but if you have to be that tight with the warranty then I'm never buying a car from you again. That's why I wouldn't by a Canyon or any other GM crap. Not sure if that talks you out of it and everyone has their anecdotal dealer/manufacturer stories but you have to go with your own experiences and take others into consideration if you so choose.

That sucks. I would have taken a picture with the check engine light and ODO showing under 36k.

Don’t know for sure but, have heard GM and Ford share the same 10 speed auto trans.
