If I had the funds to go full retard I would buy a ZR2 Diesel in a heartbeat. they have front and rear lockers, better suspension, and wheel hard out of the box.. and the diesel has the torque to move that truck in any condition. not to mention when on highway diesel is the MPG king.. on the downside it's a diesel, they have higher costs associated with maintenance, fuel is more expensive... and if something doesgo wrong with the engine (repairs, electrical, turbo etc.. the costs can skyrocket.. however I know toyotas reliability, and build quality... it's a solid truck that I only find a few faults with.. 1 being seat height adjustment, and steering wheel tilt adjustment limitations. the other being the stereo.. my god mine hates me.. slacker radio, eh? system is busy!! for what? it's linked to my phone.. it's linked to slacker.. but wheres my playlists??? wtf toyota...

If you’re seriously buying for the long hold, go find an example of each with 100k miles on them in the 5-8 year old range. See how they drive and feel.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
People make like Diesel engines are so much harder to maintain, my buddies have full size diesels and they do nothing to them. They have driven various ones over the years and nothing has exploded, or gone wrong. The only thing that you have to do is keep up with the DEF fluid on the new models, but you can buy that anywhere.
