But the EB’s do NOT have a history of reliability. Redesigns due to issues, non working band aid fixes, etc.

A lot of people believe otherwise, and you’re not going to convince them. Just like people truly believe that a truck with the name raptor attached to it will somehow be an off road race truck, rather than just widened ford production truck. It’s a dolled up base platform, like any production truck. There’s no heat treated 4130. No real heavy duty cycle competition coil overs. No center mount, no 4 link...nothing. Theres no real structural anything, as far as the chassis is concerned. Just boxed mild steel. Yet when people talk about them, youd think they were talking about getting a spec’ed truck from geiser bros.

So what it takes to fool people into thinking your truck is some insane off road beast is...widened stance (not gonna call that long travel) ,piping fake engine sounds into the cab (ford people are that stupid) and hype. Ford nailed it in this department, and people love to play pretend.

People this stupid will succumb to ford commercials and media hype. But in the end, that’s all it is, hype. That’s why I’m not a ford enthusiast, they will always let you down.

Guy I know F150's ecoboost turbo with only 88K miles went out on him. $2600 to fix. :spending:
He sold it as is and will never buy another ecoboost.
That should talk you out of a Ranger easily.

You could search all day for Ecoboost turbo failure and not be scared away... furthermore the turbos themselves are fairly inexpensive and easy to install.

Well the Ranger forum likely has in the neighborhood of 5 active users, so I’d imagine not a whole lot of action over there.

Are we really taking a swipe at the Raptor...it’s far and away the most advanced production truck ever made with off-road capabilities in mind.

The TRD Pro has the raptor beat in all the angles but clearance. Approach, breakover, departure. And I would say the Gladiator has the better off-road tools. Raptor is the nicest looking thou IMO.

I wish I took the picture of the 2019 Raptor at the dodge dealership in my town. I asked the sales guy and he traded it in for a Power wagon said it was a pathetic excuse for a truck.

If you think $2600 is inexpensive, well then.
Also everybody doesn't want to crawl under a car or get stranded.
Make up excuses all day, bottom line is it is a Ford, known for failures, you don't need a turbo on a truck (unless its a 4 banger),depreciation, etc etc etc.

Yeah, it’s exactly what I said it is. If you want that kind of truck, don’t pretend. Build it.
