The dong is still securely in my mom's mouth. Unlike your mom, mine knows how to party.

Resale value only matters if you plan to sell your vehicle at some point. Some people drive their vehicles until they won’t run anymore to avoid having car payments.

Update: I went to a Toyota and Ford dealership today and I’m leaning towards the Tacoma. The Ford salesman asked me why I wanted a Ranger and tried to redirect me to a F150...

Are the Ranger cup holders removeable for washing? They are in my '14 but easily only after modding the clips that hold that center console section in. They were not removeable in my '99 Ranger XLT.

A salesperson is the last person you should be taking advice from especially one that sells F150s...in their defense there is nothing else that comes remotely close to the threshold of luxury and power of an F150 offers. You just have to want a midsize period because if you start doing math on the equation then full-size rules across all brands.

I think toyota may be the exception here, due to the Tundra having piss poor fuel economy and only a couple of the modern luxuries the high end fords come with.

You make fairly cogent points when you're sober.

However, I see you failed to mention some of the more popular option packages that Ford offers in the F150 - namely the center console tampon holder and the vibrating studded butt plug that rises from the hidden cubby in the drivers seat.

I'm at a loss as to why you wouldn't up sell some of your favorite options to a prospective buyer.

PS: Can you get a hold of Tom (TacoBella)? Apparently, we got our 121st "Frontier is Outselling the New Ranger" thread yesterday and he has failed to swoop in with his statistics and standard rebuttal. Some of us like the old codger and are genuinely worried that his wife may have left him for someone who owns a truck that doesn't cause spontaneous testosterone loss in its owners.

Others (namely Aaron) have opined that he may have dislocated both shoulders attempting to lift his macrame supplies over the obscenely high bed rails on his Ranger and is therefore unable to type. If you could check on him, we'd all be grateful.

    Toodles,

    Skippy

That is not true, if your vehicle gets totaled in an accident and has piss poor resale value you will get burned.

Zzzzzzzz... resale  I like the Tacoma and may someday buy one but resale won’t be a factor. You guys sound like stock brokers, it’s a gd truck. Buy it :spending:, drive the F out of it :burnrubber:, hand it down to your kid :smack: when you’re done with it or sell it

You’re probably right. On a Toyota lot the Tundra does beckon me anymore than a Tacoma (it’s likely the opposite), on a Ford lot omg all those F150s  I start humping the air like my ole buddy’s Siberian husky Spike (RIP Spike), the Rangers are nice but not F150 nice especially at a similar price point :notsure:

One of the dealers near me does leveling kits, raptor grills, wheels and tires on the ranger. Those ones put a pretty good tempting on me.

They had one of those that some old rich guy bought, then almost immediately traded for another one with different options. It was a non-fx4 that was lacking too many options I want or it would've been a tough one to pass on since the mods were already paid for. Oh, the previous owner also broke a bolt off trying to mount an intake which hadn't been fixed when I drove it. The intake leak made it run kinda funny. No telling what else he screwed up.

Anyway, I'm the opposite. I'm drawn to the ranger over the F150. The F150 is the king workingman's truck, but the slight off road advantage of the Ranger is a bigger draw than the interior space advantage of the F150. Oh, also the F150 is $10k more.
