Just curious....Anyone know if there are plans to upgrade Entune someday, to include talk to text? That's the one feature I miss from Apple Care Play/Android Auto.

The Siri button on the steering will open siri if you have iPhone and allow you to send a text or respond. It works through your phone. But the button to open siri goes through entune. That's the best I can find so far regarding sending or responding to a text.

This. My guess is with an all new Linux based infotainment system in the works they will likely stop releasing updates to Entune. Just my guess tho.

I have an IPhone and I am able to speak to text. Hold down the "phone toggle switch" on the steering wheel until Siri responds. I then say text "Mike" at which point I can dictate what I want to say.

Hmm....maybe I shouldn't have jumped to the Galaxy S8+ Oh well, love the phone, and I can at least send the canned text responses.

I just use "OK Google" with my S7 and from there I can say "text wife" and dictate my message. Its all through the phone but it plays over the speakers in the truck. Give it a shot.

I thought about that, but haven't tried it in the truck (use it all the time otherwise). Coming from the Colorado, I was just use to using Car Play and AA. I guess I could think of this current setup as a hybrid model ;)
