Not having seen a 3rd gen Tacoma before (not available in AUS - only Hilux & LC), I was worried prior to my 1st test drive from hearing about the horrible seating position, difficulties in getting in & out, and the lack of headroom...

    Have moonroof and zero isues.

Yes the fromt seats are not straight-up like grandma's diningroom chairs, but coming from sports cars - it sure seems like it to me!

I can get in & out fine. I started with the seat down to the floor (likely due to the pre-conditioning!) - but have been inching it up since. Liking the visibility, I'm pretty high up there now. I sit somewhat close to the liner now, but by choice. I have several inches worth of 'Lower' if/when needed.

The mirror was a bit in the way up at the top, but some judicious adjustment higher, and I'm sweet now.

I am 6'2" with 32" inseam and while I have enough headroom to sit up properly (no leaning forward with wrists resting at 12 o'clock), there is really a couple pieces of paper amount of room on top of my head before it touches the headliner.

While I appreciate the standard power seats on my 21 Pro, I really do wish though that I could have gotten mine without it, like the 20 Pro.

Put it this way, my slick top Focus RS has more headroom than the 21 Pro.

no issues with headroom as I'm 5'8 but sweet Jesus, the neck acrobatics I have to do in order to get in the vehicle itself without hitting my head is insane.

6'0" 205. I like to sit upright so it's not a great fit. Most people like to be reclined so it's not an issue for them.

Little of this, little of that.
I’m using a T.Rex Arms Ragnarok (light compatible) holster and a safari land QLS plates so I can swap it over to my belt when needed.

Also six foot tall and put front seat jackers to help a little with head room. The problem is I can’t see traffic lights unless I duck down a little.

6-1, 230, no issues, no sunroof. That sunroof kills headroom.

6’4” and no issues. No you can’t put your seat up straight like you had your colonoscopy appointment 5 min ago, but it’s very workable

6"1' but I have short legs and a tall torso. 2017 TRD Sport with the sunroof. Yes my hair just brushes the headliner but I have grown used to that issue over the years. I have no regrets with my truck. Although I hope one day my legs will grow to match my torso...

    6'4" 36" inseam. 2021 DC w/Sunroof.
    I don't have a headroom problem.
I do have seat jackers for long drive comfort.

My seating position is not with the seat as far back as possible, but I do lean the seatback relatively far back.
If anything I really wish the telescoping steering wheel had more adjustment. Cause I feel like I drive with my arms straight out in front of me.

As far as getting in. I installed a driver side grab handle and running boards. When I get in the vehicle I step on the running board, grab the handle, and I swing into the truck. It wouldn't be such acrobatics if I didn't have the running boards. But I really do like the look and they help my kid get in and out.

That's just insane, and makes me very sad about my torso LOL. I'm only 6'1", proportionately, long torso, but can't be that long as overall, in the mirror I'm still an average looking dude, i.e. most standard short jacket fit me fine. But, my arms can use an extra inch, as even though I have 1" above my head when the seat is down to the floor and the back somewhat upright, the forward reaching driving position hurts the shoulder after a day, and if I want even more head room by tilting back, then the reach gets even worse...

According my memory, the 4runner and Tundra has tons of vertical adjustments of the seats as well as more telescoping of the steering. If only the Tacoma's steering has more adjustment it'd do the trick

My cousin is 6'6 and drove an access cab ranger for all of high school and some out of it. Always cracked me up how far he had that seat leaned back to accommodate

I'm 6'0", no sunroof, and I have headroom for days. I have a couple of ideas to share that were helpful for me to get the fit dialed in:

The power adjustable driver's seat wouldn't adjust the front of the seat as high as I would have liked, so I added a set of Seat Jackers from Desert Does It and they transformed the fit from "this is fine" to "I feel like I'm in a racecar." That's $100 I'm happy to have spent.

When I brought my truck home, I noticed that the rear view mirror hung quite a bit lower than my previous vehicle's had, to the point where I felt like it interfered with my field of vision. A couple days later I was flipping through the owner's manual and was reminded that you can adjust the location of the mirror by rotating the bar it hangs on. Now I have the mirror pushed up as high as it'll physically go while still being able to get the angle right, and I don't feel like it interferes with forward visibility at all.

I didn't know our mirrors had that kind of adjustment.
