Any more on this? I'll be around this weekend. With all this rain, should be some good spots.

With all the rain its gonna be pretty nasty out there, should be fun with my 2WD. LOL.

I'm still in though. What time do they close the park down? As I said I'm working till 3, so I wouldn't be able to meet until about 330 or 4.

It should drain off pretty quick. The deeper holes should still have water.

They don't ever close the forest down.

I agree, the silty-sandy soil dries up quick. 2WD's should only have problems in the thick sand. The soil in the forest isn't like GA clay mud which is thick and slick. I've got a tow rope in case.

Anyone else want to go? Looks like 3 so far. Khaos and Forester, you can PM me for my phone# if ya'll still want to go regardless.

Yeah, as far as time goes, they only close Silver Lake park area. I've ridden in the forest late at nite before. Probably not a good idea by yourself, though!

A few pics of my truck, me and Tacomanole had a great time yesterday playing around in the forest. A lot of water and sand, and quite a few spots of some really deep water. All in all I had to get towed out three times. Got stuck in a real nasty hole as the first stuck, and the second two where in some soft sand because I didn't have enough momentum and I didn't air down. Can't wait to go back out there and play around some more when it dries out.

This was the only area we stopped for pics in,. everywhere else was too flooded or full of mosquitos to get out in.

The LTX M/S did surprising well, I must add, off road. Had I aired down they would have been especially good in the soft sand.

Sorry I couldn't make it. A seven month old that is very unhappy means you don't get to go have fun.

    Your child always comes first.

As long as I'm not working I'm cool to head back there whenever, it was a lot of fun and extremely close to me. A little more water than I anticipated but it worked out. My truck now sounds like an old Chevy from all the crap I've got in my leaf springs. Time for a bath.

Yeah, it was fun! My truck squeaks all the time. Prob the bushings in the leaf spring attachments. Anytime you want to go back out let me know.

Went back out Today for like 45 mins to let the puppy play around. Just stuck to the maintrails, amazing how different it was 2 days later. You could get out of your vehicle without being fully swarmed with mosquitoes.

I've been exploring off of 325 and 301 alot the last week. If anyones interested in heading out there with me sometime soon let me know. Me and Ryan had a great time last trip, I'd really love to get out there with a few other trucks so we can really play. Being 2wd I can't go into the more fun areas alone without some serious risk.

This is making a strong argument for a winch bumper and winch...

Lol! Yeah, I've though about a winch too. Hopefully a large tow rope will do for the time being.

So far that ropes done its job quite well, got me out a few times.

I'd really love to get an AP Hybrid and a winch, but lift and tires come first, and that's gonna take awhile to make happen.

I know what you mean. I got too many other "projects" I'm wanting to get going, but not enough funds to support 'em!

I'm hoping to have enough money saved up by early august to get the 5100s and a 2" AAL so I can install my 885s. Then after that I just gotta save another $500 or so for the Treadwrights. It's hard for me to set aside money but I really want this so I'll figure out a way to get it.

I know for sure I need more ground clearance. Earlier today my bumper made some contact while turning around on a tighter trail that got too deep water wise. Wouldn't have been an issue if I had better tires and lift, but I managed to make it out. I was amused because when I first got hung up my girlfriend jumped out of the truck and was like "i'll spot you!", glad to see her liking it so much.

Tomorrow I'm going to a car wash and cleaning the truck off. I've heard simple green and light pressure from a hose is the best way to clean an engine, but I'm not sure if I should have the engine on or not, seems a lot of people argue either way.
