    All,

I have a '14 RC 4x4 and I want to go to a taller tire. I saw the largest I can go with my OEM 16" wheel is 265/75/16 without interference but it looks like this is limited because of the UCA hitting? The OEM UCA is a large, stamped piece and if I look at the aftermarket ones, they're much smaller since they're tubular. The fenders have more than enough room lock to lock and in the rear as well. This truck is a daily driver and will do 90% of its life on the black top but on occasion I take it out to western PA on old logging roads as well as on the beach. Looked at my options which are a lift kit or wheel spacers. A proper lift is around $1200 and is quite a bit of labor, wheel spacers which are around $200 for a pair, but I get mixed reviews and it seems like more cons than pros, and then UCA's which are around $400. So I started wondering if changing just the UCA would give me enough room to go to a taller tire on the stock 16" wheel? Anyone ever do this and fit a 285/75/16 under their Tacoma?

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
ive heard rumors that 255/85/16 will fit on stock suspension with little to no rubbing which are actually a touch taller than the 285's and just a half inch narrower than 265's. i dont think ur gonna get 285's in there without a good deal of trimming or a lift and a little trimming, wheel spacers may help, atleast to where u only have to only have to trim plastic
