Best mod you could have done.

Solid front axle Tacomas generally sit high. You've got a solid vehicle to work with. Tons of potential in that truck!

My recommendation, if you're interested, would be to swap out those rear lift blocks for some custom leaf packs. You can get just as much lift with a much smoother ride. You also won't have anywhere near as much axle wrap, which could save you the cost of a new driveshaft when offroading as it'll reduce the strain on your u-joints.

Very nice, dude. Wish I was off to such a great start at 16!

yea its tall.. i like it ha ha we dont have slow articulated climbs and trails and such.. 90% of the time the only offroad around here within a short drive is mud. and i think this truck will do pretty good in it. turning the tires has nothing to do with a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder or a hopped up v8. gears will get you what you lack in horsies. in fact a friend of mine has a 85 on 44's with a 22r. and it will bog with the best of the trucks around here..

First of all, car that has that much work put into it is admirable. That said what are you guys doing, ditch the leafs, four link front and aft and air suspension, I guess that there is no practical point of this lift other than to lift the coolness factor that is ok but the car must be drivable so go for bigger tires less lift ;)

yebb. but not so expensive, build the four link your selves or mod a used one, the cost is mostly in the air bags I think they are called and shocks

Personally, I can appreciate the amount of work this truck has in it. OK its not set up exactly perfect....His Dad already said they plan of getting rid of the blocks. (Its cool that father and son have a project together, we would all be better off if more parents were like this.) Its not my cup of tea, but it IS a bad ass truck. I live in Alabama, so I can understand why it is not set up for rocks. Basically all we have in the south is pine trees, mud, and mud.... (We got screwed on trails....) Not every truck on here that is not set up to run the Moab for 6 months is a "Mall Crawler"...Some of us work for a living and use our trucks as a daily driver, so we can't have the damn thing ready to hit the Baja 500 ALL the time. ALSO, the kid is learning, hell; I am still learning a lot. Its TW that I have to thank for a lot of the knowledge I have on Tacos. (I wouldn't sit you down in front of a sand table of Baghdad and give you hell because you don't know the strategic points of entry, where to set up your 240B's vs your MK19's, or how to set up a door breach with an IV bag and some det cord...) Last but not least, DUDE be careful in that truck, its not set up to be very safe... on road or off. Just respect it and know its limitations. Most of all, have fun....that's what its all about.

IDtrucks....don't worry...the chicks are right. You DO have a cute truck, my friends sister has one just like it. And she was able to make it look like yours on a budget with help from Autozone!

Getting off my soap box now.

    *pops smoke and disappears....*
