Just added a full set of the Talon’s Garage skid plates (https://talonsgarage.com/collections/toyota-tacoma) on my 2016 TRDOR DCLB and thought I would throw up a couple of photos to share. Shaun and Crystal and their team have really put a lot of effort into making a quality set of skids for the Tacoma. I live nearby and they have used my 4Runner and my Tacoma for prototyping some of their skids. The skids I got are 1/4” bare aluminum and include the Engine skid, Cat shield/transmission skid, transfer case skid, fuel tank skid, and A Arm skids. They are really solidly made and mounted into existing mounting points and with the aluminum, I don’t have to worry about rust. I am looking forward to getting out and putting them to the test sometime soon!

Their plates are nice but their allen head hardware strips out real easy. Be mindful of that if you have to take them off for maintenance

I haven't found that to be the case. I removed and replaced mine at 20k miles for maintenance.

Are you sure it wasn't caused by trying to use regular allen wrenches on security hardware? That will strip it out in a hurry. I haven't had any issues with their bolts on either the 4Runner or the Tacoma so far. We did have one of the security torx bolts on the Caliraised cat shield I was taking off the Tacoma that came very close to stripping out when we went to remove it.
