    I considered doing mine that way, but it wouldn't work with my old-school Cobra 25 that has the mic port on the side instead of in the front. The new 25s are in the front. I was also worried about how well you'd hear it in there and it seemed like having to find a place to mount an aux speaker would sort of defeat the purpose, haha.

    Installed my new center support bearing today. Jeez, that was way over due. Once I had it unbolted the whole assembly fell off in my hand (it supposed to be a pressed fit on the driveshaft). Guess that made it easier since I didn't have to remove it with a gear puller, so I'm not going to complain. I did notice something I'm shocked I haven't caught before now. Evidently, at some point someone took the slip yoke off the driveshaft and didn't put it back on in the correct position. All this time my ujoints have been out of phase. Gonna have to take the thing off tomorrow and reposition it to the correct spot. Sheesh, with a new center support and a properly phased driveshaft, it's gonna be like a different truck.

    It might fit in the slot under the radio if you take the cubby hole out. Might take some fabrication to make brackets to attach it, but I think you probably have that covered. :D

    That's where I would have mounted it but I have my switch panel there. I'm definitely going to look into the ash tray location though

    Got everything in the mail. All that's left are my sliders. Had some plans get cancelled for this weekend so I'm going to attempt my lift install. Lol. Is there a way to test my CB to make sure everything is done properly and all it needs is to be tuned?

    One way to find out is to grab the antenna and move it back and forth lol

    Turn the CB on and drive near the highway on channel 19 lol should pick up some truckers
