A lot of these newer washer and dryer have so many sensors. For example, mine when I turn the washer on, it spins a few times, weighs the load and fills it with water accordingly to prevent waste. The dryer does the same and even has humidity sensors, so that when it senses that the cloths is dry it will stop to prevent energy waste. Lol. At least that's what I was told.

Listen...no need to start bragging lol jk.

Yeah my brothers dryer needs a cold water line because it can even steam the laundry to remove wrinkles. The ladies have it good these days.

I have one of those zero energy dryers. It's solar powered :)

Sounds like you just had to let the lines purge. Nothing like a simple fix :) Now the real art of home ownership is to blow the problem out of proportion for the lady, that way you look more like the hero when you fix it. But only do this when you have it fixed lol.

Haha ya I'm just kidding, I'm still loving it too, until something big breaks. I unfortunately already have to replace my a/c this winter though

Yeah. She roped me into buying ours that does this. I think I've only seen her use the wrinkle function once. Lol

We have Samsung. Only 1 issue with the dryer and they sent a rep out the next day to fix it.

fun stuff lol. I'm replacing both the outside unit and the air handler. They are both from 2004 so they have pretty much reached the end of their life.

I deal with this stuff all the time with our properties. The older R22 units were strong. The new 410 stuff is a pain.

Well, shit. Ours got replaced when we had our addition put on in 2001. We've had to replace the fan motor in the condenser back in 2011 and from how it sounds, it's on it's way out again (most likely because it's in the worse possible spot, right under the valley of the roof where a river of water pours directly on it when it rains). We've had the air-handler removed and cleaned in 2009. Might be due for that again as well, but other than that, everything is working fine, knock on wood. :D

We are considering taking down the big oak tree in our front yard. It has heart rot decay and it dropped a small limb on the Honda and put a few dents in the hood while Spruce and Scoob were here on Saturday. Glad it was the Honda not the OGT. :D Gonna miss that tree if we opt to take it down but eventually it's going to drop a bigger limb and it's right over the driveway. :(

That makes sense but now my issue is with the dryer lol I have wet clothes in there and the dryer will turn on and when I start it it says it is drying above the timer but nothing happens. Pretty frustrating, gonna call GE today when I get home

A few months after we bought our place this happened. Despite having the tree fall and hit the vw, we got lucky. It fell into my parking spot where I was supposed to be an hour later, so it would've crushed the tacoma. And luckily it fell into the street not into the house. Took me a few weeks but got the vw fixed and all is good now. So... Get rid of the tree now before something bad really happens. Lol
