    Odd Green Taco clutch surgery update:

    Well, I got everything but the bellhousing bolts loose/removed. It's ready to sail on out tomorrow with any luck. However, things went way too smoothly today, so I'm expecting to have problems tomorrow with the upper bh bolts. They look like they are going to be a PITA. Gotta go get a 1/2 drive impact socket. Thought I had one but it appears not.

    I needed a 17mm impact swivel socket, or at least a 1/2 drive impact swivel. Took care of it though, but thanks.

    Yeah, I can always take the Honda if I need to be somewhere, so having her inop for a few days isn't a huge hardship. She was down for like two weeks when I put the new suspension on and had the front diff Lincoln locked. :eek: I was actually prepared to leave her down for more than a week if everyone was busy on Saturday.

    Clutch surgery update:

    Got the transmission/t-case pulled this morning without too much trouble. It fought me a little coming out, but it succumbed to my persistence. :cool:

    Bad news is, after I pulled the old clutch assembly, I found that my flywheel looked a little sketchy, so I had to pull it and send it up to the machine shop to get it resurfaced. Hadn't planned on that. :(

    Should have it back this afternoon though so I can get it and the new clutch assembly installed and ready to go back together tomorrow.

    Edit: got the flywheel back. It and the new clutch assembly are installed and we are ready for tomorrow. Eat your wheaties in the morning guys. This transmission is probably gonna be a PITA to get back up there. :eek:

    Massive thanks to Mike and Rick! You guys rock! The Odd Green Taco is back in action and better than ever rolling the new clutch. :cool:

    Took us about 3 hours to get the transmission/t-case back in and everything buttoned back up to road-worthy condition. Everything went surprisingly smoothly. Hopefully this will be the last thing I have to do to the truck for a while until the A/C compressor finally craps out...or I pop an axle wheelin'. :D
