Haha, you have to take one off to measure it for the mounting surface to the lip.

 

According to the wheel specs its offset is 15mm & has a width of 7" & a backspacing of 4.5"

 

If the backspace is 4.5" then they will work.

 

So would you recommend 1.25" wheel spacers just for the back?

 

That's what I have, I think they look pretty even.

Ya know, if you guys are going to do this at Mike's place, it might behove Dalton to see if he can make an evening appointment at Tires Plus or something to get an alignment afterwards. SRQ is quite a haul with a scragged alignment.

Chances are I'm not going to be able to make this one. Next weekend is Mother's day (and I'm probably going to be busy patching up the OGT Saturday) and the following weekend is the Citrus trail clean-up, I think. After that, I might be have some spare time, depending on if something goes wonky with the OGT just riding around Citrus collecting trash. She's already not happy with me and I can't imagine she's going to be pleased impersonating a garbage truck.

Still, I've been using the downtime while waiting for the new axle seal to get here to address a bunch of little issues, so maybe she'll cut me some slack.

 

We haven't set a date yet. I agree with ya, can't do anything next weekend being mothers day weekend.

 

Understood. I was just saying I'm pretty much obligated for the next two weekends so unless he is willing to wait 3+ weeks for my schedule to clear, I probably won't be able to make it. Like I said though, I will probably have some time after the trail clean up if you guys want to factor that into the date selection.

 

Well not sure what you guys have going on, but everything should be here this Thursday! I work from home so my schedule is flexible, I usually have wedding gigs on weekends too. Not sure if anyone is interested in a friday afternoon install, of course I have ants in my pants to get it on, but for quality, & cheap work I can wait (a little while).

 

Hmm...I'm pretty flexible on weekdays too normally, but the rest of us tend to have the standard mon-fri gigs. This operation isn't one I'd recommend trying to tackle in an afternoon either. They are usually all day things, from about 9 am to 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We ain't fast but we get 'er done. Plus, you're going to need time in the afternoon to get an alignment. No sense in tearing up your tires riding back to SRQ out of alignment.

I hate to say it, but weekends are probably your best bet. Can't speak for everyone though so if they can figure out a way to do it on a weekday after the trail clean up, I'd be open to it.

 

BTW, Mike, you ever figure out what was going on with your floor jack?

 

Not really but later that evening Rick & I helped my wife's uncle drop his gas tank & replace his fuel pump. Damn thing seemed to work fine then, my wife's uncle did add a little fluid to it though. That was probably the problem.

 

I'm down for a lift day if I'm not workin or out of town, btw mine is one of the trucks that got lifted at mikes, also srq taco, I recommend you paint your spindles beforehand to fight off the rust, cause the non coated part will rust instantly, also for those of you that care, I'm in philly for a wedding of course

Paint the spindles, heard. Any particular product I should use?

 

I just used regular Rustolium, gloss black & red on the logo.

 

Does rustoleum come in bright neon green?
