Tap into GPS data stream?

I have Entune but no Nav app. That's ok, because I prefer to use navigation from my phone. But I do have the option to set my clock from GPS, which makes me wonder if there's a convenient way to get at the GPS sentences? I ask because I'd like to install an APRS tracking radio, and it needs GPS - if I don't have install a separate puck, that would be nice.
