I am wiring up a scanner, along with the red pos and black ground wire, there is an orange wire that you can hook up to the headlight fuse? in order to dim the screen for “night mode” does anyone know the best place to tap into the electrical system that would provide me with this?

Search!! Tons of info here about electrics. Much of it totally fucks your truck.

    Good Luck.

. . . and keep in mind, that the ECU reads the current and resistance of every circuit. You mess that up and the truck plays games.

Extremely well documented here on TW.
