Time is money, and it's a lot of time for a small number of users. The mobile site is great. Try it for a week.

It's good and a lot of work put into it but it sucks to have to use the browser for a forum when I have an app for that.
The browser doesn't allow you to return to the same thread you were previously on easily. I.e. If you have a shortcut to 'watched threads' on your home screen, you can't click the link a be back on the last thread you were viewing. Like you could do with Tapatalk, and I know this is a limitation with shortcuts and browsers.

It isn't going to be the same. But, Bob is possibly the most receptive forum owner ever and will likely try to do what he can to make the software behave in some ways that Tapatalk excelled at.

But, we don't have ads, we don't pay anything, and he's considering his own TW app in the future, so there are a lot of things I couldn't bring myself to complain about when it's a minor inconvenience.

Tapatalk support is a pain in the ass, and this isn't his full time, super lucrative job. It makes sense to me, despite perceived inconveniences. It's not much different than when the forum software was changed and upgraded. Lot of butthurt over it, and those naysayers are either completely gone from TW, or more likely, they realized it's not so bad after all and joined the wagon.

There were forums before Tapatalk, and there will be forums after Tapatalk. Evolve or die! ;)

Lol no, Forums without Tapatalk, you can't make me believe it. I'm not arguing the reason for dropping it or that it shouldn't be done. I was just giving an example of something that made using Tapatalk or any other forum manager a lot easier than viewing in browser. The TW app would definitely solve that although those that have limited app storage would suffer. Can't please everyone. I trust Bob's judgment.

Anyone know if there's a special shortcut that we can make on Android(iPhone for the others) that will open a new TW tab if one is not already open and open a previously opened TW tab if there is one? As it stands I open a watched threads shortcut and then navigate to another thread, go check other emails/txts/Facebook, click home screen shortcut again and now I have multiple open TacomaWorld.com tabs using up memory in the background. I know I can view background apps and close them or jump back to them.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Now all you need to do is work on fixing those broken images.

It's currently free. Tapatalk used to be a paid app originally. Then they had a free with ads and a paid version. Now they only have a free version.
