Yes the block itself is 2". I think they (RC) call it a 3/1 lift level kit based off the change of the front and rear height.

Low Country has a similar kit with skid plate spacers, but they do not include rear shock replacements.

Thanks for the info, I think I have some all thread with the same pitch and diameter as those bolts. I'll try mocking it up with some pieces and nuts. I'll take a vernier caliper and measure the distance of clearance needed.

Took the truck in for alignment. Surprisingly the caster wasn't off too much. It definitely was pulling to the left.

Oddly enough before lift and tires, the front wheels were cambered inward. After the lift they were like that too.

Now they sit perfectly straight and the truck almost drives and rides like stock. Still stiffer but I can put my thumb on why it drives so much better with very little adjustment.

    Oh well, figured I'd share.IMG_3351.jpg

Your tires are beefy and 10 ply so the ride is little stiffer.

But I've noticed my 16 with the tsb flash drives different than my new 17.

The 16 was 3 inch lift as wheel. I'll see how it is in a week or so when I lift my new 17

    The 17 drives better,smoother

How close are your alignment numbers to being in spec? So many ppl say that you absolutely need uca's if you go above 2in lift, but your not the first person I've seen with a 3in lift that said your alignment is fine. I just don't want to spend the 500 bucks if not needed.

Yes I was lifted almost 3.5 inches and I was on factory UCAs

You don't need them if your only going 2 inches

I had bilstien 5100s @ .85 with OME 887 springs and I was on factory control arms zero problems going into spec on the alignment

3.5 inches in front and still in spec on factory ucas? I bet your caster isnt within spec. Not calling you a liar but highly unlikely. Post your alignment sheet/numbers.

I would like to but I'm a newbie when It comes to Tacomas and alignment specs. But if you were willing to post them perhaps I could compare them to some others that are in spec. I just didn't know if you were able to get it totally in spec or close to it. Just trying to get as much info as possible before I make my choice on a lift.

I've heard a lot of people say that some shops "just don't get the alignments right", and it seems that these front ends have pretty decent adjustment. This is the 2nd person in 2 days that has told me he has 3.5" of front lift, OE UCA's and got it aligned well. I'm not a supporter for adding UCA's either, unless you want to grab a bit of travel. I think a lot of people get sucked into buying them without anyone telling them "no, you don't need these".

Anyway, the truck looks good. We sell a 2" block and ubolt kit for the rear as well, and yeah, the taper goes short side to the front.

I've owned 5 tacomas, lifted 2, the lifted 2 both were 3'' lifts, the first one I did with stock UCAs and could never get the caster in spec, I EXTREMELY doubt you can get everything in spec at 3.5'' of lift even on these trucks. A lot of the guys that tell you they didn't need UCAs got everything in spec EXCEPT caster, which you can do with stock, but its far from ideal. Plenty of shops will get your alignment numbers close with stock UCAs but not factory spec. Again I could be wrong, but a betting man would disagree.

I totally agree. OE specs might be cambered in for handling, and then lifting cambers them out, so maybe they're getting the camber to 0, but not back to proper specs.

We're working on our own (affordable) front UCA's, since everyone loves to buy them, and they absolutely help with alignment. Hopefully we will have them in December. That way we can sell a full 3" or 3.5" lift and not mess up the vehicles.

Sounds good, I ran the camburgs after a bad experience with the cheapest option here (LR).
