If i push down on the dash with a few pounds of pressure about 4" to the left of the passenger dash speaker, the noise goes away for a few days at a time. Oddly enough.

Any chance there will ever be a TSB to fix this? Mine started recently as well at 3,500 miles. And I was thinking how lucky I was that I didn't have any squeaks or rattles

No idea, i'd hope so though.

My "fix" above didn't end up working once the temps dropped tonight. Although this did (for now):

I have the same problem. Took it to the dealer where the tech went on a ride with me and heard the noise. Pulled the center console down from the headliner and found a piece of plastic that wasn't glued down. 2 weeks to get the headliner and hopefully I get my truck back on Friday. Still don't think this will solve the problem though. Might have to show this thread to the service guys and see what they think about it.

Noise does seem to get better after car warms up, still very annoying. I will be interested to see how dealer handles this, sounds like from comments above they will say they can't hear it.

I have the same exact problem. I took mine to the dealer and let them remove the speaker first. Still had a slight rattle after because they broke two of the retaining clips. My new cover is on the way. If anyone wants to know how to properly remove the speaker cover you will need a 10MM socket & ratchet and a pry tool like part # BJO-ATH-K-NGL Remove the A pillar door handle covers (pry from top side). Remove two 10MM bolts in the handle then wiggle the A pillar trim out gentally. The speaker cover has 7 clips holding it in place. Insert the flat pry tool into speaker cover (side that's away from windshield) and ease the plastic slightly up & towards the windshield (be easy). After this, you can pop the two clips in the middle straight up and disconnect the ambient light sensor and your halfway home. Before reversing the removal procedure you'll want to use felt tape for cushioning around the edge, two clips in front towards the winshield and the one piece that hides behind the A pillar trim. Other than that, I'm waiting on parts to come in this afternoon. I'll let everyone know more when I do.

I've had the same issue. Sounded similar to a windshield rattle I had in a previous vehicle so I had my girlfriend push on the bottom of the windshield. She said could feel it moving and the sound has stopped ever since. I'm wondering if it could be an issue with the windshield's adhesive in the cold weather, waiting for it to come back

My 2017 started doing this with just 225 km on it. Mainly because it just got cold here and now it's below 0/32F. When my wife holds the speaker grill the rattle stops. I'll try the tooth picks and continue to monitor this thread. Not sure if it matters my truck was manufactured in September in Texas.

Yep, here is mine doing it. And i live in SoCal so this is in the morning and it is only mid 50's/low 60's outside. Some of you in other parts of the country must deal with this all day long during the winter....

I usually have to just close my vents and blast the heater to make it go away quickly. This is just adding on to all of the other ridiculous things going on with this truck for being brand new, $30k+. If it didn't have a manual transmission, I don't think I'd still have it.

Hopefully we can get a TSB out of it. I've been to the dealer far too many times now for other issues so I'm tired of dropping the truck off all the time. I'm also not to keen on having them start ripping the dash apart.

Just picked my truck up after 5k service. I mentioned the daah rattle told them it was the little cover and if you push it down it doesn't make any noise. Got it back they said "Your speaker was loose we tightened it down" Here's what they actually did. Most people would ever notice if they took i5 in for a dash rattle just thought it was funny they "tightened" my loose speaker

Since I've been having this issue myself, I Google searched it on a whim and found this thread. Mine is going in tomorrow morning because I refuse to wait till my 5k service. I have several videos of mine that I plan to show the service manager, as well as this thread.

It hasn't gotten cold here yet at all; mine seems to do it at any temp, and like most of you, it is DEFINITELY coming from speaker cover. Wife can press down even lightly on speaker cover and it stops, but never for more than a few minutes. I'll post the results of my visit tomorrow. I told the service advisor I wanted someone to ride with me because I have NO intention of accepting "unable to replicate" as a resolution. I am on a first name basis with the customer service liaison at this dealership because I have less than 4k miles and it has already been in the shop for a variety of issues...

By the way, can anyone give me a quick tutorial on how to add my video to this post from my YouTube video I posted?

I don't think they can fix it. Even after I got mine back it will still do it occasionally but it does help some.

I think the best bet is to wedge something between it like someone did with toothpicks but where you can't see it

I've stuffed so much foam around that piece of shit cover and it still rattles my god! With my intake it sounds like a buzzer on jeopardy or some shit.
