Installed a hypertech speedometer calibration module today. I'm on 35" so about a 10% difference. Using gps on my phone, the new calibration is spot on. But there is one problem.

My cruise control target speed doesn't match the actual speed. In the picture you can see it set to 56 but my actual speed is 62mph. To be clear, gps during the photo indicated 62mph. (56*1.1=61.6)

There is no fix for this is there?

Is this an old unit, or recently purchased from a good outlet? IIRC there was some mention with the early units that the cruise control stayed at the old setting. This is why I didn’t buy one for years. I now have two, one set for my 33” and the other for my 35” tires. Both work fine.

You don’t say what vehicle you have.

You updated the units’ firmware before you programmed and installed it? My cruise with my rough country (same device rebranded) can be screwy sometimes, but the speedo and cruise setting have only ever been off by one digit and it is intermittent

2018 v6. I don't know the exact model of the hypertech unit I have.

I downloaded the software yesterday and I programmed the unit yesterday. Is there a separate button in the GUI to update the firmware?

I don’t specifically remember the steps I had to take to get the hypertech software (windows only) running on my Mac, just that I made it happen. I’m like 80% sure there’s a blog or a changelog somewhere outlining firmware updates because I feel like I remember reading patch notes 3 years ago when I was researching all this. I’ll add an edit if I find anything helpful
