Ruger all day baby. I actually own the LCR, and I love it! I've fired the LCP, just don't own one.....yet. But I would look into the LCR too. I've never owned a Taurus, but I have heard complaints.

You just can't go wrong with Ruger. They are quality. Good luck with your purchase. :)

I replaced my LCP with a Glock 42

slightly larger, but still small enough to hide where I need it to hide, and light enough to wear with athletic shorts

I actually quite enjoy shooting the 42...it's very comfy and easy to shoot...and again...light weight so easy to carry in athletic shorts

I'll be buying the single stack 9 when/if Glock releases it

    sounds like limp wristing :D

that being said, no issues w/ jamming w/ defensive or JHP rounds. mine is a "C" model.

I have A LOT of guns. Of ALL of them the LCP is the ONLY one to NEVER have any sort of misfire. Not during break in. Not using odd ammo. Not using hot ammo.

I added the Crimson Trace laser and it's perfect for it's intended purpose. I also added the Kel-tec pen clip. It can be slightly modified to fit the Ruger. It's so light I can clip it on my boxers and it won't pull them down.

I'd get a pocket holster and a Crossbreed or similar holster as well. I used the Crossbreed holster today with sweatpants and no belt.

I got the Taurus and have had no issues. Maybe 500-600 rounds through it.

i only had jams on JHP when i load the first round, never while shooting. i got my dremel with some metal polish and polished up the ramp abit. that helped a lot. for insurance if i carry a spare mag i load up with JHP and top off with a FMJ since i never had an issue with those. not a bad gun, though a finger extension is a must.

I also have a tcp and like it

I had the opportunity to hold and fire a tcp, lcp and p3at. The Taurus had better fit and finish, more features and a better price. No brainer for me

Mine has shot about 500 flawless rounds and comes with me every time I go running or hiking

same as mine then. i'd do like someone else suggested and polish the feed ramp. i did slightly do that to mine back in the day. also running adhesive backed grip strips and extended mags.

I polished the feed ramp on my TCP, so maybe that helps? I polish the feed ramp on every gun I own.

side note: not saying that the grips strips and extended mags have anything to do w/ the functionality of the pistol...unless you're like beavis and limpwristing...then the strips may help

it's not a completely different mag (mag extension conversion), but i didnt have issues before them either though.
