Brought our 04 Tacoma out to try our hand at the biggest off road race in the United States. Unfortunately broke an axle shaft somewhere around race mile 65. Wasn't sure what the problem was and limped it around to finish the first lap. Looked it over in main pit and couldn't find the problem so went back out and after another 5 miles or so was able to narrow it down to the axle.

Decided it wasn't worth going farther out on the course and getting in other people's way, getting stuck, etc so we called it a day. Aside from the axle the truck did great, bummed it didn't go as planned but was an awesome experience.

The Mint 400 is run on a roughly 100 mile loop that starts in Jean, NV about 20 miles west of Las Vegas. The area between the California stateline and Las Vegas.

Here is a more detailed write up of our Mint experience here:

Almost that time again, getting ready to give the Mint 400 another shot. We've made some changes to the truck including a new rear end and new rear shock location. Looking forward to battling again this year with a better outcome hopefully.

Thats definitely our plan! Should be a good time, last year there was only one other truck in our class. This year there should be close to 10. The Mint is always a good time regardless.
