Did you get the c476 or b110 5100 shocks for the rears? I didn't see. The c476 has 8.92" travel and the b110 has 10.94" of travel. You are going to need to get better/bigger bump stops as well

Ordered Greasable shackles from Wheelers. That other site seemed sketchy.

I read because of how the dakars are designed, with the 2 overload leafs, you'll never reach the bump stops anyway

I have. But they are really only there to prevent a lot of negative arch in the springs during flexing or heavy loads and keep the shock from bottoming out before it hits the bumps, I'm just curious if we put on the standard 5100s or extended 5100s for the rear. The standard are stock replacements and are only good for 1.5" of lift, 2" maaaybe but pushing it. He would be better suited for the extended lengths to avoid damaging them cause he got 3" in the rear or pretty close

Here is a comparison of standard vs extended:

I'm pretty sure his order was the ones for 3"s of lift

Nope, looks like he got the 1-1.5" lift

He got the d560 for the rears which will accommodate up to 3" of lift, didn't see he posted links of what he bought so he should be ok according to wheelers website.

I here ya man, I spent more time than I wanted under his truck and I spent more time making sure everything he got would work appropriately given his needs like it was my own truck. I'm done with first gens for a while!!

Unfortunately I had the same thing happen to me toytec doesn't even give you an option for different rear shocks. It's really stupid of them to send out shocks that won't work with the dakars.. Don't order any of the shocks from their site because non of them are 10" travel shocks not even the icon remote resi shocks. Order the 5125's from wheelers. I'm pretty sure they have the 10" ones. Don't bother with the any of the 5100's IMO.

The 5100's will work until you get the new shocks but it will be a pretty rough ride.

I know how you feel bro. It's such a small detail that gets overlooked by many including myself.

Looks good but not sure why you would add on the Ranger emblem from a ford or the others on the back.

Those have been gone for a long time, friend :D

Just got home from picking it up from Brandon. I'm astounded by the ride quality. Amazing. So smooth. No axle wrap under accelerating and braking. Doesn't feel like it's going to flip in turns. Amazing amazing amazing.

I can actually push the old shocks all the way in by hand, and also use my hands and bend the old leaves completely flat. This rides like a completely new truck!

I won't be driving it until I get the new shackles, and I'll go ahead put the extended brake line on, and the BPV bracket when I get it So happy. I can't believe I was actually driving around with a busted suspension that was as bad as that was. The difference is night and day. Best $1000 I've ever spent.

I'll post before and after pics later.
