    and wow, this was an awesome show. they performed the entire sound track of the movie live with it playing on a big screen above them. they played most of the sound effects live. the triplets vocals were from the original soundtrack, but they played all the music.

    the new Traube Theater on the top floor of the War Memorial Building next to the SF Opera House is a pretty cool space, they call it the SF Opera Lab. they build a very nice modern small theater in the center of the building under a pyramid skylight, and all around the outside of teh floor is a very modern spartan white hallway with like a 20 foot ceiling. the two side halls featured museum grade black and white photos of the SF Opera all the way back to 1923. lots of very good B&W large portraits and cast shots from the 30s, and stuff all the way up to the 90s. The theater had very comfortable modern chairs, a good rise so everyone has good sight lines, seats 300.



    anyways, now I'm back home, and I am in the mood for something completely different...... hmmm.
