I've only started sampling them. My preferences are for the ones made from fresh whole apples, using winemaking techniques, that taste like fresh apples but are bone dry, crisp, and tart. Can't *stand* the sweet ones, like virtually all the english ciders I've tried, nor the fruit flavored ones, nor the ones made from concentrates that taste like canned apple sauce.

Tieton Dry Cider is very good (as is their Dry Hopped Cider), as is Santa Cruz Scrumpy (but not the pomegranate or cherry flavored versions). Sonoma Dry Zider is excellent (aged in used zinfandel barrels, so its got a bit of a blush and almost tastes like a dry white wine). The catch is, all of these are like $6-8 for a 500ml bottle, which is kinda pricey to drink regularlly. http://ramblingroute.com/ turns out to be made by Tieton, and is also quite good at a much better price point (was $2.29/16oz can), and another canned one thats $2.99 at the same store, but I can't remember the name.

here's the Santa Cruz Scrumpy: http://www.surfcitycider.com/cider.html
(its actually made by a quite good local winery as a side operation)

Sonoma Zider, was available at Costco last fall, http://sonomacider.com/ciders/dry-zider/

(I have one Junior, and one post-grad working on his PhD, luckily, the post-grad is a fully paid research assistant so he's off the parental dole finally, at 25. sigh).

I see a spare. What happens if you need to swap a wheel? Not being a smart-ass, I really don't know what I would do. Sweet ride, in any event.

there's a crane for the spare (which weighs about 350 lbs). it takes a couple grunts to manhandle the tire into place, and you need a hell of a bottle jack, with some big blocks to crib an axle up high enough to get the wheel off. all the required tools are on board, stowed with the spare. 10 bolt wheels. same rim fits front or rear, by flipping it around. this is an M925A1, the A1 has 'super singles', while the original M925 had dualies on the rear axles, and smaller wheels.

M925 is the same truck as a M923, but with a 15 ton hydraulic winch on the front run off a PTO. he says there's like 150 feet of cable on that winch :-O

he also says each time he's gone out to the playa this winter he's pulled at least a half dozen cars, jeeps, 4x4 trucks out of the mud. 685 ft-lbs at 1500 rpm, hah!
