When welding up the cam tabs do you weld on the outside of the tabs when piecing them to together?

That area. The instructions say the front ones only. Are they referring to the front LCAs or the front tabs on both the front and rear LCAs

I’m about to start sticking metal

I welded the outside and the back then ground the back smooth.

Just make sure you dont weld where the cam rotates, for obvious reasons
