I bought my first Toyota a couple months ago ('99 Tacoma) as a daily driver to keep the miles off my '21 3500 and I absolutely love it. So much so that when I bought it I started looking up any and all info I could find on how to work on it and make it last as long as possible. I stumbled across Austin Niemela's YouTube Channel and the TDI Diesel swap on his Tacomas. I've made up my mind that this is what I want to do with mine eventually but I am not a mechanic by a long shot and would not be capable or comfortable trying to do this myself. That being said, is there anyone out there that could point me in the right direction of someone who does this? Im currently in North Carolina so the east coast would be preferable. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to call independent auto shops around you and find out who they recommend for this type of swap. Where I live custom 4x4 fab shops are the only places that will do this type of work. Realistically look to spend 10-15K on something like this if not doing it yourself.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Look for a Diesel Service that has done swaps check your local thread

I know a Shop That might do the work North of Harrisburg Pa .

Not sure of The TDI Engine but I know they Put the 4 cylinder Cummins in a Tacoma.

They do great work but as was stated your looking at $10,000.00 plus
