I was thinking about doing something along those lines. You lost your adjustment though right? I'm gonna put up some feelers for people with broken lights, hopefully I can get someone to just pop out the little black pieces I need, so I can properly adjust my lights if need be.

No was still able to adjust and it still holds. What you could do is put the stripped one on the left and right adjustment then lock tight it down, and put the good one for the up and down adjustment.

well, i got a switch from an older honda. the only thing that will matter is the amount of voltage that will be lowered according to the resistance in the circuit. that is all the switch is, a bunch of resistors set up to lower the voltage.

wiring will completely depend on what motors you get and what switch you get. there are a few great threads on HIDplanet.com...go check them out! im thinking of using a level switch from a new tundra, rather than the honda switch.

after hooking up the solenoid to the factory flash wire, I found when I flash or turned on the high beams, the solenoid would activate, but the bulb would turn off. How did you go about changing this so the ballast wouldnt turn off when you turn on the high beams?

I added these to my bike when i had the headlight apart and wired it in as turnsignals and running lights

you fix it by having a correct wiring harness. your light goes out because you have your low beam light signaling the ballast. but when you flash your highs, the high wire activates, but the low wire is no longer part of the circuit, therefore you ballasts are no longer powered, which means no lights!! this is the reason for the diode in the following circuit.

here is a schematics that you can use. our 05+ tacos are postive switched fyi...

no, but if you go over to HIDplanet.com forums, in the university section, there is a huge thread of wiring schematics...i pretty much am following the above posted diagram, but i will have a separate relay for each headlight and then the highs, for a total of 3 relays.

yea, but i would get one for each headlight thought just so you have enough. also, be carefull you dont allow it to drip along the projector and get on the chrome reflector when it is drying.
