If common sense and a stock taco are fine, I'm booking time off work today for Oct 1-3... but someone will need to hold my hand because I know, I know nothing in terms of what, where, and how...

For those who have done this trip before, what temperature should I be expecting at night?

Here's last years data. Practically speaking, camping anywhere in Ontario form Aug and onward you should be prepared for at least the potential of 0C temps or frost overnight. Single digit evenings while hanging around as well.

Agreed, also if it rains that weekend (it has multiple times in the past) it'll get colder faster so it'll never hurt to pack for colder than what you think you'll be fine with.

they are projecting this currently but i hardly trust the weather network for reports that far out.

I work at The Weather Network, and I don't trust the weather forecast at all...

In other weather related talk. The mud holes and puddles are likely to get topped up this week.

Thanks everyone, my wife and I never camped this late in the year and this far north.

I think our air mattress with a duvet, then an emergency blanket, topped off with a good quality Sherpa blanket while wearing layers should keep us nice and toasty me thinks.

On another note, I don't think I will need to air down in the "Group 4 Black Lake Beach Area". But if I do, it wouldn't be too much trouble asking to use someone's compressor? I have order a 150psi/2.54 cfm compressor but it my come after the trip

@3JOH22A love this weather site, it's so technical and detailed!

Yeah youll be fine, assume it's cold and bring extra to bundle up in.

Airing down is helpful to smooth out the trail as it can be a bit rough, but the road up to the beach is relatively fine but past that, airing down is a nice have. it's no trouble to ask for a compressor from anyone (or at least it shouldnt be).

    what compressor did you order?

Everything but rear bumper and some gears and lockers
Might be in. I got a bone to pick with black lake locked my engine up 2 years ago because my snorkel was sitting in the garage. Depends on work.

You won't need to air down, but it will help with comfort. The beach area also has optional rocky climbs which benefit from the additional grip.

@Shveet by the specs, looks like he got either the Smittybilt 2780 or the same Chinesesium painted a different color. Should've gotten the bigger 5.65 CFM version that @Windigo runs, but it'll work.

    are you a wizard?

@Pure_Life , doesn't matter what you have since the speed of airing up in a group is set to the slowest compressor doing it's best.
