^Thank you for the pics

Anyone had a look inside the prerunner build? Did it have a cage or suspension seats?

Don’t believe I saw a cage or a suspension seat. Would have been interested in that since I’m curious how to go about the work around with the airbags. Disable the seat ones without the entire system.

^From what I read, on the driver's seat, it's just a 2 ohm resistor to simulate the side airbag squib. That's if you use the stock slider so the stock seat position sensor is retained. The passenger seat has four occupant classification sensors that are harder to fool.

Use to be able to get the resistor plug for the front two seats if I recall but no longer a single for legal reasons I’m sure. One day but while the trucks on the road I’ll keep it as is.

You can make those resister plugs pretty easy.

I’m sure. Just haven’t looked into it since some other items have taken priority over seats. Plus I can’t find a decent review of seats that are good for long hauls and the bush. Read a lot of mixed reviews. Would almost be worth it to get a Camry seat or something a bit more sportier into the Tacoma. Taco is super narrow though.

I put honda prelude seats in my 85 runner...bolted right in and all kind of lumbar.

Then again, compared to factory 85 runner seats, it's a low bar...IYKYK
