Greetings and welcome to our first online TEC club meet and greet session! Due to current restrictions we can’t organize 100+ truck meet at the mall where everyone can check out lifts, tires, sliders, skids, bumpers, winches, tailgate cooking setups, roof top tents and much more! What we can do is to talk online and hear what you have to say.:argue:

First thing first, my name is Eugene and I am co founder of Toyota Enthusiasts Club Community - TEC along with @tacoma16 (Peter).:hattip: Both of us volunteer our time and effort to organize different kinds of events, meet and greet sessions, trail cleanups and much more. We (mainly Peter, I am just really bad at this) process new members, promote tread light principals and participate in other 4WD related events, we do it out of our passion for 4WD and travel.

start of the year was great with attending Winter Wheeling With Friends as a club. With current world situation club did have to tune down the amount of events that year, but we managed to get 33 people to register with the club and participate in the first annual trail cleanup which got noticed by local municipality and OF4WD federation! Good job guys!

Below you may take a look at our club financial reports for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 years, we tried to keep it as simple as possible.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HMjmuRZ30GNlrVCPc8JJjt-elB6rKwpVnTzCbYOWkVw/edit?usp=sharing

Here is our current plan for the 2021 Year

    • 100 members by the end of the 2021 season

    • At least three clean up sessions (one already happened this May 1st weekend, good job team!), so next one is in June and then in the Fall.

    • One Yota Crawl event, TBD

    • Get involved with local municipalities like what the club did with @ontarioyota by volunteering, good job guys!

    • Involve more people in organizing different kind of events, good example is @voniclas who is looking to get out and created a thread. Another new thread to keep eyes on is by @tacomafromthe6ix Keep it up guys!
Intermediate Tacoma Trail Day - Ontario, Canada | Tacoma World
Ottawa Valley Weekend Gravel Road - May 28-30 2021 | Tacoma World

For the 2022 year we would like to propose the following

    • Keep the fee to $10 but this would not include a sticker. Stickers would still be offered to those interested for $5 (plus shipping) at a later time.
The reason being for this change is:
      -not everyone wants a sticker
-the club expense for making and shipping stickers was pretty high and labour intensive (currently still making and shipping out stickers to newly joined members)
-time could be spent making and selling stickers for specific events (cleanups, yota crawls, coffee meet and greets)

    • Maintain at least 100 members and continue growing the club

    • Continue with trail cleanups, club events, Adopt multiple trails such as Ardbeg South, Ardbeg North and Black Loop.

    • Create digital card membership for 2022 year and reach more members via social media channels.
    • Get involved more with OF4WD, attend and voice your opinion as a club, attend and help with OF4WD events and help them when they request.

    • Support TW website via calendar and sticker purchases to raffle as prizes in our events. @tcBob it's the least we can do
Introduce yourself here, post a picture of your truck and let us know what you think. We need to hear your opinion.
    ALSO PLEASE FILL THIS FORM

    https://forms.gle/6RLQ7FuFHgBh6o58A

We have one full week to discuss all of this and set the club on the course. Let’s hear your voice! :argue: Thread will be locked after one week.

ok so I filled out the forum. done

hear is a pic of my truck at my favorite wheeling spot.

    20210502_145953.jpg

and my one and only suggestion is to have a badge like the overland bound
with TEC on top, our forum names on the bottom and our membership # in the middle..

and my other only suggestion is to pay membership dues by paypal and also option to pay for more than one year at a time. say every 3 years or 2 or 5 whatever but more than 1...

Hey everyone, I’m Chris and this is my truck.
    upload_2021-5-3_10-6-23.jpg
I had no intention of taking it off road until I joined TW and met some of the original TEC guys at a wing night. Now it’s all pinstriped, slightly lifted, armoured with sliders and full skids, and on 33” tires. And I’m not done yet.

I agree with the groups suggestions above. My only suggestion would be to give a sticker to first time members and no stickers for membership renewals. I put the sticker on my truck the first year but not the past 2 years. The first one is still there.

Thanks @tacoma16 and @Norilsk for all your work.

I like @Windigo's idea of a t-world membership badge
but a better idea might be to make velcro patches with a simple design but with a small metal plate that has the number on it. this way the patches are easy to make a 100 of at a time, but the plates would be a simple stainless with the number engraving on them and then sewed onto the patch. Geocaching travel bugs have been doing that for years.

Appreciate all the responses to the google form so far.

@Windigo we do accept PayPal, but it’s a bit of a pain since you have to have so much money prior to taking it out. If we can get a number of how many people are interested in doing it that way then I know when to pull the money out of the PayPal account (under $20 it can’t be pulled out)

as for paying for multiple years in advance it could be done, but it would just be a pain to set up the spreadsheets and allocate money (does it just go into a bit pot, or does year three membership money go into year 3 budget for instance) which is why I think we may keep it at a year at a time.

I will be trying to incorporate some of the ideas from the spread sheet into here as they come. Sticker designs and patches have been a common theme so far. If enough interest is had we can go to more of a production sticker vs the smaller runs that I have been doing at home (which is a long slow process when it comes to making 70+ stickers).

I've worked with a commercial sticker printer but I don't know what his minimum run quantity would be. I think the smallest volume I had printed was around 5000, so likely a few more than we need at one time. I've also worked with a screen printer and embroidery business, and a commercial engraver if we want to go that route.
