Ray: you are gonna run the trails in that!?!

Me: what’s THAT supposed to mean?

Ray: You are probably fine looks like you have a winch. Oh those running boards aren’t gonna fair well on the rocks...

Me: those are rock sliders they are meant for that.

    Ray: hmmm well good luck

LOL I think this could be interesting.

Ray has a Tacoma. I said we were holding an event with tacos. He said he won’t even drive in with his truck. If we stick to the green trails we should be good. Will be interesting for sure.

Yup. He ran it in his truck. There wasn’t much snow and we broke through the ice. Other than that it was fine. Going to be tight for the long bed trucks but they have gotten a bunch more snow so the trails should be better.

There was a taco in there on 33’s with a cap and stuff before we went in. He just blew a bead.

Evgeny just busted a valve stem.

long bed double cabs are going to have a bit of a rough time but if I can make it thorough (longest and widest) everyone should be fine.

Photos of the chaos will be posted in sure....

Morning started with rain and the snow. It was warm, so the snow was slush but there was a nice layer of ice underneath.

One group did a large section of the green trails while I took a smaller group (tried...) through an easier trail. the easier trail was run in 15 minutes during our pre run. 3 hours later, we ended up turning around.

    It was a winch fest.

Our group was on the trail for maybe 3-4 hours and we did not get far.

the other group (20+ vehicles) started at 10:30 and didn’t get off the trail till 8:30ish I think. Now, the week before when evgeny and I pre ran it. It took 2 hours.

I am guessing this is because the trails got hard packed and turned to ice tracks?

So every little incline was impossible

Yes. Also the trails twist and turn and around trees. So Trees became friendly. My cap got bent a bit (considering how I was wedged on the tree I was pretty happy that’s all that happened). @Manfred got friendlier and dented his bed.

I didn’t see the other group come back as I was helping to fix a serpentine belt and coolant line for @Manfred in a strip mall. Lol was an eventful day.
