I picked up my 2022 Sport last week.
So stoked, what an awesome truck.
I have the tech package w the touch handle locks.
My question is.... How do I lock my truck when I want to go surfing.
Can't get the fob wet, can't leave the fob in the truck.
My salesman said leave it in the backseat, away from the signal receiver, but that didn't work.
I was thinking a faraday bag, but wondered if you guys had any other way to lock the truck and get in the water.
Obviously I'm going to have the valet key w me in my trunks.
    Thanks

Faraday bag will work, truck won't detect the FOB signal even if it is right next to the receiver.

That's quite a dilemma and I have no sure answer for. This is just an off the cuff thought. First, do you have a tonneau cover that can only be opened when the tailgate is down? If so, stash the fob in the cubby in the bed and lock your tailgate so no one can get access to your bed, but take the key shank with you. What do you think? It'll only work if you have a tonneau cover.

You can turn off the smart key from broadcasting and lock it anywhere in the truck, assuming you can gain access using the app on an Apple Watch or your phone. To turn it off, press and hold the lock button and then press the unlock button twice. The LED will blink a total of 4 times to confirm it is off.

I was in that exact situation, picked up the “hitch vault”. Basically an exact fit, water resistant box that slides in your hitch receiver and secured with a combination lock hitch pin. When it’s installed it looks like nothing more than a cover or insert on your hitch and that you left a trailer pin in it, nothing that really causes any attention for what it is.

Slides in and out easily so you don’t have to leave it in the hitch, I just stow mine under the back seat when not in use.

Can’t you just turn the fob off. I’ve seen other use a hitch vault. Lock you stuff inside the receiver.

Turn off fob as others have mentioned, remove the fob "key", lock truck leaving fob inside, store key in wetsuit key pocket, surf, unlock driver door with "key", press any button to activate fob, return "key", drive away to your favorite taco joint.

This works on my 22 OR, should work for you.
Leave the fob in the vehicle, no need to deactivate or turn off fob.
Exit the truck and lock it from outside with a metal key.
    Doors are locked.
I put my key on a lanyard around my neck under my wetsuit.
When your session is done unlock with metal key.

    Lots of good options...thanks guys

This one looks to be the easiest one, with turning off the fob in second place.
Well, on second thought .....I think it's a tie.
