Another way to adjust is to put the drum on and the tire then adjust the brake until its hard to turn then back off a few clicks till it turns freally

 

Not the correct method. From the service manual:

2. ADJUST REAR DRUM BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
(a) Provisionally install the hub nuts.
(b) Remove the hole plug, and turn the adjuster to expand the shoe until the drum locks.
(c) Using a screwdriver, release the adjuster 15 notches.
(d) Install the hole plug.

You are correct. I did it your way for many many years.... and still do at times.

I only wanted to give the op the information from the actual service manual so they can use it if needed or wanted. I usually prefer to use the authorized method.
