Yeah, exactly. I don't want to flatten the honda civic I might run into later, but I also don't see the point in totaling my truck after hitting a dear. Or like how a guy on TN hit a dog and had around $3k in damage afterwards. New hood, grill, lights, bumper, mounts lights, quarter panel, radiator.... I don't remember the whole list. It was crazy though! It looked like he needed a whole new front end!

Yeah! I've seen the whole video, and they really only modded suspension, fenders, wheels, and an extra fuel tank. Still not sure if ours would make it... I've beat on mine a little, but some of those noise dives into the snow would've torn off our bumpers i think.... They really aren't as strong as you'd think... If they didn't come off, the amount of flex they do would've snapped the headlight mount tabs and a few other plastic snaps behind it.

yeah, my run in with the tree would have only been about $1000 or 1200 in my dads old siverado, maybe less. it ended up being 3300 for the taco. they had to replace alot of plastic and all kinds of interal plastic parts. I do wish they were a little more rugged on the outside, but thats not just a Taco problem. Almost all new trucks are built that way now. Look at the new Ford F350 Super Duty, its the most badass truck america makes and can tow almost 25k lbs but its covered in plastic chrome and stupid little plastic pieces. Its built for heavy duty construction use or to tow a huge horse/cow trailer on a farm with a gooseneck, but if it spends toomuch time in either of those environments its gonna have alot of broken plastic. I love my truck but i wish it had more steel and less plastic. its just the way the auto industry is making all their new vehicles
