Ok, so I am having my windows tinted next week. The shop I am using has a 22% and a 32% tint. Does anyone know for sure what the rear factory tint is? I really want to make it match as close as possible. I have a 2010 DC.
FWIW, the guy there says factory is about 25%, and 22 is the best match because the sun coming in thru the windsheild actually lightens up the fronts. I think that because the front has a slight tint already, that the 22 will look darker.

22% on its own will match pretty close. However if you lay it on top of what is already on the fronts then it will be a little darker. Most shops will take tint off for a cheap price but its not too hard to do on your own with a razor blade and some goof off. The tint will peel right off, its the glue that needs the scraping

27% on rears and back window if you have privacy glass.

You will want the fronts about 20% to match the rears. They have to be darker because the windshield backlights the front more than the rear.

These % may not be legal in your state and inspection may not pass. Consult your local PD for tint laws.

also keep in mind that the tint on the front windows usually will not look the same as the back windows when looking out from inside the car. Most aftermarket tint brands dont seem to match what the factory uses.

My tint guy with a tint meter said the rears are 18% and forche fronts a 15% would be a good match. He did the job and it looks and matches great.
