As a businnes major/Accounting, I used to admire this individual. Then I read his biography. The guy was a scumb back, and still is.

 

I'll never understand what he seen in Hanoi Jane...

 

I'm no Ted Turner fan, but you're misrepresenting what he said. Instead of your interpretation, he was asked by Piers Morgan if that (soldiers committing suicide) is shocking. Turner responded that "No, I think it's good BECAUSE it's so clear we're programmed, and we're born, to love and help each other, not to kill each other, destroy each other - that's an aberration." In other words, it's the supposed WHY it's happening that's good, not the death of the soldiers that's good.

 

He certainly didn't chose his words very wisely that is for sure

Any suicide regardless of circumstance is a tragedy. I don't need soldiers committing suicide to tell me that war is not natural. He's claim that humans are born to love and help each other (while positive) is huge generalization. I did like how they moved right to his billion dollar donation right after.
