Well, I've finally decided to make a "build thread" or whatever you call it for my truck I affectionate call The Big Bad Wolf. I thought I'd make a place for me to write about my truck as well as the hobbies that I use it for.

My wife had always wanted a newer Tacoma after her 1st gen, and I've always wanted a truck in general to help in my outdoorsy lifestyle, so we pretty much bought the first one we found which had all the options, and in the color we wanted.

2011 Tacoma with all the bells and whistles, in Super White with a manual transmission. I must say, I haven't found a thing about the truck that I don't like.

Here she is, posing for the camera in Tahoe when we took her up to go sledding.

First trip was up to Bowman Lake in Northern CA. I was finally able to get my kayaks up to the spots I really wanted to fish. However, all I ended up doing was getting drunk and while fiddling with my rod. Myself, as well as the pups had a great time!
Don't mind my ghetto tie down job!

 

This past weekend I took her up to Tahoe to hit Heavenly for the day. I recorded some of the trip and took some pictures, and decided to take a go at making my first video with the new computer. I have so much video and pictures from my GoPro that I had to find something to do with it. So here it is, my first video attempt.

Might as well show the end product. Turned out delicious, 3rd overall....out of 8.

 

Slickrock a few weeks back. Smoking ribs at like 7000 feet takes time, patience and a lot of beer.

 

Got down on some Tri Tip tonight. Think it's time to upgrade to a bigger smoker.
