Could barely get to the crank with a 225 under it. Don’t feel like doing what I had to do to remove it on the side of a highway in the middle of summer on hot asphalt should I need a spare.

Another option is getting 5 of the same wheels and 5 of the same tires and just putting a baja style carrier in the bed lol

To be fair though, most use their truck as a truck first and foremost.

Otherwise.. Prius has more comfortable seating and 3x the mileage. I don’t know anybody who offroads with an empty bed.

Why would I want to take up my bed space when I could have a tiregate?

Not without compromising it. I plan to run 285/75r16s eventually. Those won’t fit under the truck anyway

Rack and tent over the bed, 4x4 requires trails = truck use, no?

well by that logic how is storing a tire in the bed not truck use?

Nah, I had a 31” on the stock mount under my old truck and it was like half an inch off the axle. With this new truck, I’ve got the hitch on the bumper that’s close and the axle itself to deal with.
