So I just got around to buying and installing a Tekonsha P3 in my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road. I bought the plug and play wire harness to make the set up easier. Well after getting everything hooked up I ran into a few problems and was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot the issues. I did some research before hand but found nothing worked and no posts included all the issues I am having.

    1. Tekonsha P3 is showing the "Power Loss - Verify Brakes" error message

    2. When plugged into the Tacoma trailer wire harness, the brake lights stay on continuously and the controller never goes into sleep mode

    3. When I go to drive with the controller plugged in my Tacoma shows the "Accelerator and brake pedals depressed simultaneously" error message.

Now I unplugged the unit from the truck and everything went back to normal. I also unplugged the fuses for towing and they are fine and the truck works normal without them. It is like the Tekonsha is causing my brakes to always be on and I can not figure out why. Everything I have seen is just brake lights being on and the unit never going into sleep mode but nothing about the unit causing the brakes to always be activated.
