    Even reagan wasn't Reagan. That is if you worry about the facts; such as increased the size of government, large increase in deficit, the Iran-Contra affair (trading Sandanista drugs for Iranian guns).

    We need to start thinking for ourselves instead of letting the talk radio and other pundits think for us. Maybe a third party is in our future (not one of the sideshows we have out there now). :confused:

    Don't expect all the rest of us to fall for the Republicans can save us bunch of crap. If you have not noticed how the Republicans left our country recently. I don't think the Democrats can get us out of this hole but we need to recognize how we got here.

    Also don't try to tell me that Bush was not a conservative, there is not a single republican who is conservative (unless there is a new definition - like thief, incompetent, corrupt....). Even after you paint the pig it is still a pig.

    I used to vote republican and voted for Reagan the first time and after Iran Contra I voted against him. After the latest round of conservatives I am now an independent and very anti-Republican.

    History is what teaches some of us to not repeat the same mistakes.
